Budva is a place which is over 2,500 years old. Budva Old City ramparts dating back to the 15th century includes a medieval ramparts system with its city gates, defense walls and towers. Situated within the walls of the Old City, the city is a combination of narrow streets and small squares with monuments of different cultures that exemplify its development over time. In summer the city becomes a lively theater with numerous performances and local shows. In addition, you can visit many shops, cafes, restaurants and galleries in Stari Grad (Old Town).

Budva is among the oldest city centers of the region and has a unique history for two and a half thousand years. Budva was by the Greeks in the 4th century BC and has always had regime changes for the Adriatic region: the Romans, the Byzantines, the Venetians, the Austrians, Tito’s Yugoslavia and now it is a part of Montenegro since 2006.
