A double settlement on the northeast side of Vrmac, opposite Perast. Gornji Stoliv is located in a chestnut forest at 240 m above sea level. This settlement preserved its original rural physiognomy. There are about 15 inhabitants today, because many of them moved to Donja Stolivna during the XVII and XVIII centuries. In the center of the settlement there is the church of Sv. Ilija.
Relatively small temperature fluctuations during the day and during the year favor the early maturation of fruit and the growth of certain types of flowers, especially camellia.
